Its not terrible but its a bit small for my taste, its kind of hard to get a good grip because of the shape and I have medium sized hands. The blade is really easy to sharpen because of its shape and large flats to grip, which is nice because it hobestly isn't too sharp out of the box. He thought it would have somewhat of an edge on it at least. He took it to get professionally sharpened and that wasn't a big improvement.
